"IntaktGame" explores the space between linear narrative film structure and the video. The core of this work is the actual physical and mental state of a lead protagonist moving-switching from her inner landscape into the urban landscape of New York, where her transformation occurs in a randomly scripted manner…
So "the intact game" is one of the character overcoming the conditioning of her past on a subjective level, and it is “a game” played in the “making” of this work: losing structure, playing with a redundancy of video images, and abstaining from ”given” rules of filmmaking.
This piece is about its own process (like writing a diary note…), not about its final outcome; it transitions from an analytical and systematic way of working into a visceral level, free of its “product.”
There is a search for such narrative structures and work processes that possibly allows an inner autonomy of the images we see (their existence from within rather then their visual impact.)
